Calorie Devil (“the App”) is developed as a privacy-first, standalone iOS application. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when using the App.

1. Data Storage & Ownership

• Local-First Storage: All personal data, including your food logs, calorie targets, weight entries, personal library items, and historical trends, is stored locally on your device.
• No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide any personal identifying information (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to use the App.
• No Tracking or Analytics: The App does not contain third-party trackers, advertising SDKs, or behavioral analytics tools. We do not track you across apps or websites.

2. Third-Party AI Lookup (Smart Cals)

• Ephemeral Processing: When you use the “Smart Cals” feature to estimate nutrition, the text query you submit is sent securely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to the Gemini API solely to generate and return the estimated nutritional values.
• No Personal Data Linked: These requests do not transmit personal identifiers, device identifiers, or health history. Queries are processed in real-time and are not linked to your identity.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

• Because your data is stored strictly on your local device, deleting the App or its local data will permanently delete all stored food records, settings, and logs. We do not maintain backups of your personal data on external servers.

4. Children’s Privacy

The App does not collect personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13.
